Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll sit and chat about your goals, current fitness, and any injuries or worries you might have. Then we’ll go through some simple movements to see where you’re at, as well as having a laugh along the way, and from there we will build a plan that’s tailored to you and your goals. No pressure, no judgement, just a place where we are starting from!
-
That depends on your goals, lifestyle, and budget. Some clients see me once a week, others twice. I’ll help you find the right balance so you can make progress without feeling overwhelmed.
-
Not at all! My job is to help you get fitter, stronger, and more confident regardless of where you’re starting from. Beginners are welcome (in fact, they often see results the quickest).
-
Comfortable gym clothes and trainers are perfect. Bring some water, maybe a small towel if you like, and a positive attitude and a joke or two. I’ll sort out the rest.
-
Absolutely. Every client gets a plan that matches their goals, whether it’s losing weight, building muscle, running stronger, or just feeling healthier day to day.
-
Yes! I’ll give you simple, realistic nutrition guidance that works with your lifestyle. No fad diets, no boring chicken and broccoli. It will just be advice you can actually stick to, making the small changes are the ones that you will more likely end up sticking with.
-
Everyone’s different, but most clients start noticing changes in energy and strength within a few weeks. Visible changes in body shape and fitness usually take a little longer. The key is consistency (but I’ll help keep you on track).
-
You don’t need to cut anything out completely. It’s about balance. You can still have your Friday night pizza or Sunday roast.
-
Yes. I’ll always adapt sessions around any injuries or health concerns. In fact, getting stronger and moving well often helps recovery and long-term health. Safety always comes first. I am also training for a level 3 in GP referral.
-
I offer different packages depending on how often you want to train. The more sessions you book, the more value you get. I’ll go through all the options with you so you can choose what works best for you.
-
I work from a private studio, so you won’t be battling for equipment or feeling lost in a crowded gym. You get my full attention, a personalised plan, and a supportive environment where you can focus on your progress.
-
Yes! I’m here to keep you on track even when we’re not face-to-face. That means check-ins, messages, and ongoing support so you never feel like you’re doing it alone.
-
Definitely. I’ve helped clients run quicker, lift heavier, lose weight, and even prepare for big events. Whatever your goal, I’ll build a plan around it.
-
That’s really common! I keep things fun, friendly, and at your pace. You won’t feel judged, rushed, or pushed too far. I’ll explain everything in simple terms (no confusing fitness jargon) so you feel confident from the start.
-
Yes, training with a friend can be a great way to stay motivated (and it’s usually a bit of a laugh). I offer 2:1 sessions, if you’d like to share the journey with a friend or partner.
